GOVARDHAN DAS P.A. ( CALCUTTA ) was founded in the year 1966 with a view to manufacture various types of Industrial Valves and Cocks.
The company gradually expanded and catered for the manufacture of diversified Marine and Industrial valves and other products of marine application.
We are supplying to Indian Navy for all their frigates, corvettes, aircraft carrier, submarines, missile carriers and destroyers, fast attack crafts, landing craft utility, coat guard vessels, fast patrol vessels etc.

  • The company has a fully-fledged foundry for both ferrous and non-ferrous castings.
  • We have modernized machine shop for machining all types of products.
  • There is a modernized testing laboratory with experienced faculty. A team of qualified Engineers and Metallurgist are assigned with different responsibilities. Instruments and gauges are regularly calibrated. An arrangement of training for all employees exists for online job training as well as by external faculty on periodic basis.
  • The company has already adopted quality assurance system and was awarded the certificate of ISO 9002-1994 in the year 2000. All actions are taken on a continuous basis to sustain the system and assessment of the same was made through periodic management review. To keep pace with time, the company has regularly updated the quality assurance system and now adopted the Quality management system to the requirements of ISO 9001:2015.

QUALITY ASSURANCE (Towards Self Certification)
We are registered with the Department of Quality Assurance (Warship Projects). Our products are regularly being inspected by classification societies i.e, LRS, ABS, IRS, RINA and DQA (W).

Our foundry is approved by ABS and IRS. We are also ISO 9001 : 2015 company and we have adopted quality management system in the organization.

The quality management system is designed in accordance with the requirements of the products which is complementary to the requirements of International Standards.

Moreover, in house we have adequate facilities and technical know-how for carrying out rigid Quality Control effectively for the products. Our quality management is coordinated by experienced Mechanical Engineers assisted by a Metallurgists.

INSPECTION & QUALITY CONTROL

All our products conform to relevant National and International Standards & Specifications. Also inspected and accepted by the Inspection Agencies i.e. LRS, IRS, ABS, RINA, DQA(WP), DQA(N) etc. prior to dispatch.
